2008 Season Preview: St. Louis Rams
The Rams have too many holes in the pass defense and questions with the right side of the OL to be a promising playoff team--but in their weak division it’s certainly not impossible.
2007 Season Preview: St. Louis Rams
The Rams have as much talent as any team in the league at the offensive skill positions. QB Marc Bulger is very accurate and can make all the throws. He showed improved leadership and better decision making last year and is entering the age when most QBs hit their prime. RB Steven Jackson is coming off a season where he posted the 5th highest total yards in NFL history.
Running To Twilight
If Marshall Faulk, Curtis Martin, or Priest Holmes never play another down again, they will surely be missed. Gone will be the spectacular moves by Marshall as he makes defenders look silly two or three at a time. The quick cuts by Curtis as he slashes through holes for chunks of yardage will be absent. As will the patience of Priest as he waits for an opening on the patented Kansas City stretch run play.
2006 NFL Team Preview: St. Louis Rams
Last year I wrote a piece proclaiming the Rams as my sleeper for playoff success. I’m not making that mistake again. I like the offseason moves they made and these Rams should be tougher and more consistent from week to week. But the defense needs more skill and time to congeal, and I don’t trust the mileage and wear and tear of so many of their starters.
