Emmitt: Cowboys Need An Emotional Leader

Dallas Morning News - Legendary Cowboys running back believes that the team lacks an emotional leader on their current roster, according to Dallas Morning News.

"They need leadership on the team; that's just the bottom line," Smith said before Monday night's game. "They need guys to step up when things are getting critical. They need guys to step up and chew guys out that are not getting the job done. That's the difference between Troy Aikman and this team.

"They asked me the question, 'What's the difference between the '90s guys and these guys?' What I see, it's not the same. Troy used to walk down that bench and chew every offensive linemen's behind who wasn't blocking. And [Michael] Irvin used to do the same thing. I don't see that happening when things get critical. That's the only thing I'm saying.

"Now, if Tony Romo is looked on as the leader of this ballclub -- which he is projected to be and from the outside standpoint that's the way he is perceived -- then you need to see that from your leader." [READ]
