Texans May Have Lost Schaub For Season

Houston Chronicle - Houston coach Gary Kubiak admitted for the first time Monday that he is worried quarterback Matt Schaub may have suffered a season-ending knee injury.

In a loss to the Vikings on Nov. 2, Schaub was hit low two times by defensive end Jared Allen, who was fined $50,000. Schaub left the game with a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

"I’ve been told today that they expect him to throw this week, so that’s very positive," Kubiak said. "(That) doesn’t mean he’s going to be moving around.

"I think they’ll bring him out there at some point this week and let him throw the ball around (and) set his feet. I guess I’m beginning to feel more confident that he’ll play this year, but we’ll see." [READ]
