The San Francisco 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk continue to discuss a contract extension and a trade is considered unlikely.

Wide receivers such as DeVonta Smith and Amon-Ra St. Brown have signed extensions recently, which helps set Aiyuk's market. Aiyuk is entering the final season of his current contract with the 49ers.

The 49ers drafted Ricky Pearsall in the first round, which increased speculation that Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel could be traded this offseason.

Tyler Boyd has agreed to sign with the Tennessee Titans on a one-year deal worth up to $4.5 million.

Boyd started 13 of his 17 appearances last season -- his eighth with the Bengals -- and finished with 67 catches for 667 receiving yards and two touchdowns. 

There were a few reasons why Kirk Cousins left the Minnesota Vikings for the Atlanta Falcons in free agency this offseason.

For one, the Falcons were willing to offer Cousins more guaranteed money, but the Vikings' plan to draft a quarterback also played a role in the veteran looking for a new team, according to a report.

Minnesota was honest with Cousins about the possibility of selecting a quarterback high in the draft. The Vikings eventually took J.J. McCarthy with the 10th overall pick.

What's ironic is that the Falcons shocked many when they used the No. 8 overall pick on Michael Penix, Jr.

Cousins reportedly had no idea the Falcons were going to take a quarterback -- a decision which left him "shocked" and "disappointed."

The Carolina Panthers have agreed to a contract with running back Rashaad Penny.

Penny reunites with head coach Dave Canales from their days with the Seattle Seahawks.

He joins 2024 second-round pick Jonathon Brooks, Chuba Hubbard, Miles Sanders and Raheem Blackshear in Carolina's backfield.

The Buffalo Bills have signed Chase Claypool to a one-year contract.

Claypool brings veteran depth to a receiver room that is being shuffled after the Bills traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans and saw Gabe Davis leave in free agency.

Claypool, 25, has been with three teams over the past two years. Buffalo also drafted Keon Coleman with the 33rd overall pick.

Odell Beckham Jr. and the Miami Dolphins have agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $8.25 million.

Beckham spent last season with the Baltimore Ravens.

Saquon Barkley opened up about his departure from the New York Giants while engaging with fans on social media Thursday night.

Barkley attended Thursday night's game between the Sixers and Knicks in Philadelphia. When shown on the Jumbotron, he was booed by the New York fans in attendance.

"It's been two months," Barkley said on X, "lol no way ya can still be this mad! Mf can't even go to a basketball game."

Someone responded to Barkley, pointing out that he bailed on New York.

"Let me educate some of you fans here," he replied. "I can't bail or become a traitor if I never got an offer to come back ... so I went to the organization I felt that was the best and after already being here for a month man I'm excited to be a eagle! Go birds."

Barkley undoubtedly is referring to 2024, because the Giants reportedly made offers to Barkley on a long-term deal in 2023.

The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to a contract with D.J. Chark, Jr., a source has confirmed.

Chark, a veteran of six NFL seasons, brings experience to a young wide receiver room.

Prior to the agreement, the Chargers had no receiver with more than three years in the NFL or a season with over 800 yards.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are declining the fifth-year option for the 2025 season on Najee Harris.

The decision will make the running back a free agent after this season.

The Steelers are not ruling out agreeing to a deal with Harris after this season, according to sources.

The Kansas City Chiefs have declined their fifth-year option for the 2025 season on Kadarius Toney.

Toney was a first round pick by the New York Giants in 2021. Toney was traded to the Chiefs in 2022.

Both general manager Brett Veach and coach Andy Reid recently indicated Toney was in the Chiefs' plans this season.

"I don't think we ever stopped believing in him,'' Veach said shortly before the draft. "I think people around the building like him. It's the injury bug. Hopefully, he gets some luck on his side and can stay healthy and can be the player that he was at Florida and the player that we've seen in spurts here. I'm just hoping he has a good offseason and has a little luck on his side and can stay healthy.''

Toney played in 13 games last season, but had just 27 catches for 169 yards and a touchdown.
